AUTHENTICATION
Definition:
The certified copy is the reproduction ("xerox") of a document, in which the Notary declares that it is a true copy of the original document, which retains all the characteristic signs necessary for its identification.
How it is done:
The interested party presents the original document in the notary's office and requests the certified copy. The reproduction (Xerox) of the original document can be done at the notary or provided by the user along with the original document. In both cases, the original document will be checked to verify that the copy retains its identifying elements, then an authenticity seal, stamp and signature of the person in charge of authentication will be affixed.
